#CriminalizedLives

BYP100 has joined the long-term fight to end the criminalization of Black Youth. Help us broaden the narrative of what happens between Black youth & the police and transform our communities. These videos should be sent to byp100videos@gmail.com

The criminalization of Black youth is a nationwide shame.

We’re in the long-term fight to end the criminalization of Black Youth. Join Us. #WeReadyWeComin’

Check Out Our Recently released “Agenda to Keep Us Safe”

BYP100 wants decision makers, elected officials, and law enforcement agencies to implement and enforce our Agenda to Keep Us Safe (The Agenda) which includes:

  • Increased Community Oversight & Accountability over Law Enforcement Agencies
  • Repealing “Crimes of Youth”
  • Mike Brown’s Law – Body Cameras on Police
  • Increased DOJ Enforcement of Existing Civil Rights Law
  • Demilitarization of Police
  • Ending the War on Drugs: Marijuana Decriminalization

Through the #CriminalizedLives campaign, we will move closer to ending criminalization by amplifying the stories of young Black people, young women and men, Black LGBT and queer youth who have been criminalized by the police and turning their stories into action

Strategies to transform our lives and communities require grassroots organizing and public policy advocacy. The #CriminalizedLives video campaign is a platform for young people to share their stories and serve as a foundation for direct action campaigns.
